Brussels takes a long time to grow. It is recommended that you start indoors about a month before the last frost. Usually the seeds takes 1 week to germinate. You can transplant the seedlings when they are about four to six weeks old.
Brussels love cool weather and moist soil. Apply compost layer on the bed. This will build up nutrients. You can also put mulch on the top of the plant soil to make sure that the soil stay moist.
Harvest when you find that the buds are firm. Make sure you do not leave the plant out in below freezing temperatures. If that is the case then cut the whole plant.
