Prepare the soil by adding manure or compost. To give head start to celery soak the seeds in water for 2 days. Make sure that the outside temperature is at least 55 F. Plant the seeds and cover it with the soil.
During germination period make sure that the soil is moist. Water lightly on the seeds as you do not want the seeds to wash away. Use mulch around the plant to keep the moisture inside the soil. Mulch will also make sure that there are no weeds growing near the celery plant.
