Plant description

Siam Queen is also known as Thai Basil and is a genus of flowering plants in the family Lamiaceae (mint family).The species are not clearly distinct and estimates of the number of species varies from 13 to 18. Siam Queen are aromatic, almost exclusively perennial, rarely annual, herbs. They have wide-spreading underground and overground branched stems. The leaves are arranged in opposite pairs, from oblong to lanceolate, often downy, and with a serrate margin. Leaf colors range from dark green and gray-green to purple, blue, and sometimes pale yellow.

When picking a Siam Queen plant make sure that it is not infected with insects and bugs. Give special attention to the leaves. That is the first place where you will see damage (if any).

Growing Instruction
A mature Siam Queen place requires more space to grow. Make sure there is adequate space in the pot when planting mint plant. Make sure the pot has holes at the bottom. This will make sure that the plant root do not rot. Make sure to give Siam Queen enough sunlight and water. In some areas which gets over 100 F temperature in summer it is recommended that you put the plant in a shady region. Extreme heat can kill the plant.
