You can start the process of planted sweet potatoes by putting them in a glass half filled with water. This step makes sure that the roots are developed correctly so that it can be planted outside. Every few days replace the water in the glass with fresh water. The fresh water will ensure the continuous growth of the roots. When the roots are growing plant the slips from the potato into the soil. Make sure that the soil is loosen. Add compost and manure to the soil to give that extra boost of nutrition.
